The second session of Ekklesia has been just as transformational as the first Session. We have been talking about the importance of being IN HIM. If we are IN HIM then our hearts are fully His. It is crucial that we allow the Lord to circumcise our hearts (cut away all of the flesh) so that we have a heart that is sensitive to His Word. A softened heart is like the good soil in the parable of the sower and the seed. A softened heart is ready to receive the seed of God's Word and will yield fruit 30, 60, and 100 fold.
Our words are also full of power. We have the power of both Life and Death in our tongue. If our heart is soft and Full of God's Word, then the overflow of our mouthes will be full of Life. The Word says that our speech should be seasoned with Salt. Salt enhances flavor, melts things, preserves, and produces thirst. The Lost world should hear our words and their hearts should melt, our words should help preserve their life. The listener should desire more because the flavor is so enticing, and they should produce a desperate thirst for a spiritual need for the water of the Word.
